Irresistible Cakes strives for perfection in the design, taste and presentation of our cakes. Each cake is hand crafted specific to your needs with the highest quality ingredients. To ensure this standard a limited number of orders are taken each week.

 

How much will the cake cost?

Our cakes are custom made and priced individually by the complexity of their design so we do not have a standard price list.  For more information please see our pricing guide.

 

What is the process of ordering a cake?

I like to sit down with my clients and determine a few key elements such as the number of guests, event style and budget.  Whether a cake is to be served for dessert or for coffee will effect the size required.  A coffee serve is typically a 2.5 x 2.5cm slice and a dessert serve is a 2.5 x 5cm slice.  Once we have worked out these details, we can design the look of the cake including the size and number of tiers and the decoration. After the design is established comes the difficult decision of what flavours to choose!

 

Can I have more than one cake flavour?

Yes.  You can have a different flavour for each tier.

 

What flavours do you offer?

We are happy to create any flavour you would like but here is a starting point - Cake Flavours.

 

Do you offer cake tastings?

Yes, we offer the most popular flavours of white chocolate mud and chocolate mud for tasting. The cost of a cake tasting is $20. Should you place an order this fee will be deducted from the final cost of your cake.

 

How are your cakes covered?

The cake is initially covered with a layer of ganache (chocolate and cream). This ganache allows for a very thin layer of fondant to be used. The fondant gives the cake a perfect finish and can be tinted to any colour. Traditional wedding cakes use a very thick layer of fondant which many people find distasteful. However the combination of ganache and a thin fondant layer tastes beautiful.

 

Do you offer Credit Card facilities?

Sorry, no. Payment is by cash or direct deposit only.

 

How soon should I book my wedding cake?

Peak wedding season is between April and October. If your wedding falls in this period 3-6 months notice may be required. Out of peak season, 2-3 months notice is usually sufficient.

 

Where are you based?

We are based in Brisbane. However, we will deliver to other areas.

 

Do you deliver?

Yes, delivery and set up within 10km of the Brisbane CBD is $25. For deliveries outside this area, the price will be included in your quote.
